Prices for scale models
While similar in pricing the 3D work, scale models also
have other factors that can exaggerate certain construction
elements. Items such as handrails to a 30-storey model
can extend the labor content of a project dramatically.
Such an item in a 3D environment is easy, but as a physical
item can be painstakingly difficult and tedious. Because
of this we have no fixed rates for scale models, which
is disappointing but unavoidable.
Factors that determine the price of the scale model
The following factors are directly relative to the final
price that we quote:
- The size of the model
- The exterior complexity
- The balconies and handrails
- The base of the buildings
- The landscaping complexity
- Any required lighting and other electronic features
- Repetitiveness of the floors in a tower
What we require to provide a quote
As with all kind of work we do, we need sketches to create
a quote. They can be full detailed plans or just perspective
drawings. If we have already started the 3D rendering/animation
side of the project then it's likely we already have the
required information.
Keep in mind that in order to start work we will definitely
need the complete full set of plans.
